Bring the whole family out to the 22nd Annual Eagle Festival at Mason Neck State Park on May 11, 2019. This is a day to celebrate the successful recovery of our nation's emblem, the bald eagle, and to help protect and conserve the natural, historical, and cultural resources of the Commonwealth. It will be a day filled with family-oriented programs and entertainment. Learn more about the organizations and efforts that have worked so hard to help bald eagles bounce back – and who knows, you might even see some flying overhead inspecting the fun.
The festival hosts many exhibitors who are dedicated to conservation. Walk around the park and learn how different organizations are fighting to save our environment. You can also enjoy live animal shows, wagon rides, pony rides, and tours to view one of the bald eagles nests at the park. Learn all about the birds we have in the park during our morning bird walk, and then stick around to watch the live raptor shows and see these beautiful creatures up close. Take a break to eat some food from a local vendor and enjoy live music.
The Eagle Festival is FREE!
