The World Day event is open to the public and will include a series of performances, workshops and interactive activities. It is to be held at Dubai Municipality Headquarters on October 13th – 17th. Some of the activities include;
Interactive quizzes where each correct answer helps the birds migrate on-screen, this will allow people to understand their movements, learn as they play and become engaged with a key species.
- Craft area for bird nest and feeder workshops, as well as bird origami for the pledge tunnel.
- Bird anatomy puzzle that visually teaches children about the different parts of birds anatomy
As well as other arts and crafts workshops, and the Environment Departments beloved mascot Ghaith will be there to greet the children.
The event is set to be fun, engaging and interactive and aims to bring families to learn together and empower their children to be the next environmental ambassadors. This event further highlights Dubai Municipality’s dedication to environmental awareness and involving the community in its wider efforts.
