Tweet Retreat at Shepherd's Spring Outdoor Ministry Center

A weekend birding retreat at the Shepherd's Spring Outdoor Ministry Center (www.shepherdsspring.org). We explore local birding hotspots such as the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park (a.k.a. C&O Canal Towpath), Antietam National Battlefield Park, Washington Monument State Park, and Harpers Ferry National Historical Park during the first weekend in May. Birds we encounter include migratory warblers, vireos, thrushes, and others, plus local and migratory birds that are starting their nests. We have recorded more than 115 species in the history of this event.
