This is an annual event that the AUB Botanic Garden hosts every spring in the American University of Beirut.
Each year the theme changes, this year it was about the importance of the campus to local and migratory birds.
There was a reception and speeches given by the former AUB president John Waterbury and the current AUB president Fadlo R.Khuri about the importance of protecting the migratory birds in Lebanon and the precious identity that the birds give to the campus of the American University of Beirut. There was also a Visual Documentary on Migratory Birds afterwards.The video attempts to capture the incredible resilience of migratory birds crossing between Europe and Africa, and it focuses on the long migration journey of the vulnerable European Turtle Dove.
