World Migratory Bird Day

Every year Zagreb Zoo is organising an event that lasts for two days and combines educational with entertaining activities. This year some of the activities are educational stands where visitors can find out about different natural resources that have to be used responsibly to help migratory bird species. Also, visitors will be encouraged to sign the petition that was started with the aim to enforce the laws against hunting migratory birds in Lebanon which is a real problem. Also, there is an educational "laboratory" where visitors will be able to see feathers, eggs and bird nests under magnification, and find out interesting facts about bird biology. This year we will also have partners from association BIOM and amateur radio assotiation Croatian Flora Fauna that will participate in bird watching for visitors and the search for hidden radio signal in the Zoo.
