The event is organised by the Hellenic Ornithological Society/ BirdLife Greece in collaboration with the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy.
In the middle of winter, on the border of Greece. In Evros Delta, thousands of waterbirds have taken over every last inch of the wetland. Among them, the only 30 remaining pairs of Lesser White-fronted Goose claim their own little patch along with hunters, birdwatchers and poachers. The documentary “Feathering Heights” invites us to follow their journey of coexistence between man and birds, starting from the Arctic Circle all the way to the Mediterranean Sea, in the wetlands of Evros Delta and Lake Kerkini in Northern Greece.
