In the evening the film « Le peuple migrateur » will be screened followed by discussions and a reception.
On the same day, the regional AAO branch in Gabès (South Tunisia) will organise a reception with film screening, discussion and distribution of awareness raising materials. In the morning of May 13 a bird walk into the oasis of Chenini (Gabès), including short presentations on the importance of the oasis for migratory birds and its vulnerability with regard to a changing climate, is proposed to a large public.
Always on May 13, the regional AAO branch in Sfax (Central Tunisia) will organise a visit to the bird reserve Kneïss Islands in the Gulf of Gabès focusing on the importance of tidal wetlands for the conservation of migratory waterbirds.
All events will disseminate important information on migratory birds and their role in the various ecosystems and they will all be covered by press media, television or local radio stations.
