Passing through Aswan

Artificial wetlands compromise new suitable habitats for birds. Migratory and soaring birds rest in these areas around Aswan while some of them spend the winter.
This year, we will celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with employees in the sewage treatment station east of Aswan. We will teach them about the importance of birds and the main threats for bird migration through Egypt.
The event includes an opening presentation and a short documentary movie about migratory birds. Then, we will go birdwatching around the water ponds. Bird lovers and active birdwatchers are invited to the event.
